Ginger Cat Books is a community membership library & bookshop built around a shared love of reading.

Based in the heart of Casco Viejo, we bring together Panamanians and people from around the world through books - with book groups, events and by a providing a welcoming space where everyone belongs.

We created Ginger Cat because English-language books can be difficult to find and expensive to buy in Panama. Our carefully curated library of quality pre-loved books make great literature more accessible, giving readers the freedom to discover, borrow, and share books without always having the expense of buying new books & building their own collection.

Become a member: For a small monthly fee, you'll enjoy unlimited borrowing, with up to two books on loan at any one time. It's an affordable way to explore new authors, revisit old favourites, and discover books you might never have picked up otherwise.
